A Life Beyond Anger

In situations of conflict, we tend to become angry easily. We even think anger will help us ‘win our battles’, and we rely on it as if it were our trusted friend. The mind of anger, however, leaves a trail of broken relationships, lost opportunities, and painful feelings in its wake.

In this 5-week meditation class series, we will gain insight into the mind of anger and learn Buddha’s effective methods and meditations to transform the energy of anger into more constructive, creative and healthy attitudes.

This series is taught by Kadampa Teacher Jamie Holland, who is known for his light-hearted and practical approach to meditation and Buddhist practice. Everyone is welcome.

Jamie is an experienced practitioner and teacher of Kadampa Buddhism, practicing in the Kadampa tradition since 2001. He now studies and teaches meditation regularly at Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado in Denver, where he has resided for the last eight years.

Jamie’s teachings are full of humor and practical examples that illuminate the depth of Buddha’s profound teachings, making them accessible for everyone to apply to their daily lives. His personable, kind manner communicates the benefits of meditation and modern Buddhism in practice, and his classes demonstrate the essential “how to’s” of a genuinely spiritual life in a way that all of us can understand.
